‘Josie’s Wales’ is my self made documentary film/ travelogue . In the Summer of 2023 I decided to try and learn to paint landscapes, whilst simultaneously getting to know my homeland of Wales a bit better, well that was the plan! But what unfolded during this solo adventure turned out to be far more enriching than I could have hoped. I am so glad I recorded the entire thing. I share this intimate and very personal journey in Josies Wales, for the few people who need to see a story like this. In the end ,art and Wales were merely the starting point , the real destination turned out to be a place far beyond any specific geographical location and far more rewarding than any desire to progress in art.

Ultimately the film can be enjoyed even if you don’t paint or plan to visit Wales as I hope it touches on deeper themes. . And in todays ‘re wild ‘ culture , gives an alternative point of view in understanding that Not all ‘love ‘ of nature stems from the same source, desire or experience of it
