‘Josie’s Wales’ is my self made documentary/ travelogue . In the Summer of 2023 I decided to try and learn to paint landscapes, whilst simultaneously getting to know my homeland of Wales better, well that was the plan! But what unfolded during this solo adventure turned out to be far more enriching than I could ever have hoped. I am so glad I recorded the entire thing as I am happy to share this intimate and very personal journey in my film, Josies Wales, for the few people who need to see a story like this. I hope it’s universal even if you don’t paint or visit Wales, as In the end , art and Wales were just the starting point , the real destination turned out to be beyond a specific place and far more rewarding than any progress in art.
